Week 1: Zaragoza

June 29 – July 3, 2026

The first part of the conference will take place at the Universidad de Zaragoza, one of Spain's oldest and most prestigious universities, located in the vibrant capital of AragĂłn.

How to Get There

By Plane:

  • Zaragoza Airport (ZAZ) — 10 km from city center, connected by bus and taxi
  • Madrid Airport (MAD) — Take the metro/bus to Madrid-Atocha station, then AVE train to Zaragoza (~1h 20min)
  • Barcelona Airport (BCN) — Take the Aerobus to Barcelona-Sants station, then AVE train to Zaragoza (~1h 30min)

By Train:

  • Zaragoza-Delicias is the main station with excellent AVE (high-speed) connections
  • From Madrid-Atocha: ~1h 20min, frequent departures (~20 trains/day), tickets from ~€20
  • From Barcelona-Sants: ~1h 30min, frequent departures (~16 trains/day), tickets from ~€15

By Bus:

  • ALSA operates regular routes from major Spanish cities
  • Zaragoza bus station (EstaciĂłn Central de Autobuses) is well connected to the city center

Week 2: Andorra

July 6 – 8, 2026

The second part of the conference will take place at the Universitat d'Andorra in Sant Julià de Lòria, a charming town in the southern part of the Principality of Andorra, nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains.

How to Get There

From Zaragoza:

  • By car: approximately 3 hours via the A-2 and C-14

By Train and Bus:

  • The best option for public transportation is taking the train from Zaragoza to Lleida (~1 hour) or Barcelona (~1.5 hours), then a bus to Sant JuliĂ  de Lòria (~2 hours).

By Plane:

  • Barcelona Airport (BCN) — Closest major airport (~2.5 hours by car/bus)
  • Toulouse Airport (TLS) — Alternative option (~2.5 hours by car/bus)

By Bus:

  • Direct buses from Barcelona (Andbus, ALSA) and Lleida
  • Connections from Toulouse and other cities

⚠️ Important: The closest train stations are L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre (SNCF) and Puigcerdà (Renfe), but we do not recommend using them as there is no direct transportation from these stations to the venue.

Getting from Zaragoza to Andorra

The recommended route from Zaragoza to Sant Julià de Lòria is via Lleida:

  1. Zaragoza → Lleida by train: AVE/Avant high-speed trains run frequently (~16 trains/day). Journey time is approximately 40-50 minutes. Tickets from ~€15.
  2. Lleida → Sant Julià de Lòria by bus: Direct buses available daily (~5 services/day). Journey time is approximately 2 hours. Tickets €14-25.
